Blessing of the Fleet 2003

The second annual Blessing of the Fleet service was held at Marina Park on May 31 this year.  It grew slightly with 18 vessels participating, and a number of displays on land.

The Wandering Minstrels from St. Thomas' Anglican Church and the Canadian Corps of Voyagers added some colour and excitement. Monsignor Roy Carey, Father Lino Santi, and Canon David Bradford helped Rev'd Ed Swayze officiate. 

Thank you to all the volunteers who worked hard to make this event happen.

This event is one of the few in the city that has a faith focus, and it allows people to integrate their faith with their work and recreation.
